"hmmm...we should Mozart more often in our exams and orchestra....it is easier!"

Well the moment you think, my dear friend, you are GONE!!!!!! Mozart is so not easy. The difficulty is in the fact that you THink it is Easy. Mozart is simple and yet its simplicity is the one that makes it complex. Be the bass past or the wind part or the string part, all parts are complex and difficult in its own way.
Mozart easy?
No!!!
Was having a conversation with my friend, we concluded that...
"The most recent music (modern compositions) is not as difficult as those of the early days (Baroque and earlier). Musicians in those times were amazing, they were all very musical and get "Jazz" musician. Why jazz? well in those days you had to improvise alot of the music. sound easy? well not really. you also had to keep in mind the context of the piece, and the chord structure. Some early music is still very very difficult to play in today's context."
Not saying that modern music is easy or anything like that, it is just that each era in music history has its difficulties and its mastery in composition.
