Sunday, December 31, 2006 Bye bye 2006 Hello 2007!!!!!

THe year will be over in just a few hours and I am pretty excited fro the new year. I guess this was a not so bad year. Lots of good times like, VOgue outings, Good grades, Fun class times, Fun performances, great friends etc. and yes there were bad things too like, my Facial muscle problem which everyone loved...:(, bad performances, irrtating ppl, etc.

This year was fun I would say. I made a few good friends and few for some of them. I have learnt more about the people around me and have learnt how to go about being around them. its tough but worth it. A few of my friends have left this country for a better future and really miss them and their company. a Special Happy New Year to Mei Ling, Ike, and H. I hope you guys have a great year ahead ya?! hahahahaa MISS YOU LOTS!!!!!!!

Here is my New years resolution...

Get a Distintion for my Recital Exam
Atleast three A's for exam
Play in a Musical
Have a 'Chamber Sounds' Concert
Form the Chamber Sounds Horn Ensemble with my teacher
Perform at the Esplande Concourse again ahaha so fun!!!!
Enjoy my NS life
Join the Central Band
Play a major Symphony
Visit Germany
Spend Christmas in Vienna
Have a solo Recital on my own

Well I do hope to do all this next year hahahaa looking forward to it man!!!!!!

I have dicarded my old composition and started a new one. It is a Clarinet Trio with Piano and it is inspired by a prayer. Serenity Prayer. This is a prayer i say everyday before i leave my home. Well mainly because i have one behind my room door. It was a present from my aunt. I think it is a very beautiful prayer.

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

I guess i apply this prayer to my everyday life. well not always effective but i do try. Like the first line, God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, things i cannot change yes. example, people's temper, friends remarks, friends Rasict comments, friends habits, the fact that i don't express my true feelings always. and yes many more. Yes each day has its difficulties, and also its happiness. I guess it helps me in containing my emotions.

Courage to change the things I can, well i can't change many things but what i can chnage is, my apprach to CERTAIN people, the way i talk to some friends, my attitude to certain comments etc.

and most importantly, the Wisdom to know the difference, yes i need to know the difference. I have to be very careful cause i am sensetive and so are some people around me and i have noticed that i have to be very careful with the words i use to them.

Friends yes, but friends with criteria? not worth it.

What i also add on the this prayer always is..

Lord grant me Patience, for i have none,

grant me love, for i have too little to give,

grant me endurance, for i am weak in long term projects and evernts.

Not much of a prayer, but again, it keeps be up and keeps me going each day. Some days are tougher then others, and some nights i just can't get to bed.

Monday, December 18, 2006 Holidays are near....

The gig is over. Finally man. Well i guess it went well. At least Crystal did not say anyhting. ahhahaa. the general review was that, we were too soft. there was a good turn out for all the three sessions. ahhahaa. Felt good after the whole gig was done. I'm looking forward to the next one. hee hee.

Had orchestra today, with singers. I must say most of them sang well expecially the year ones. Eveytime i play mozart, it makes me think of Vienna and Germany alot and how much i would love to go there and study under the great musicians. I can only dream about that for now. hmm might consider being a Mozart specialist. or a classical and early music specialist. hahaa thinking too far i guess. Well right now i'm thinking about getting troungh my final recital. up getting trough, not even thinking i can get a good grade. oh well practice practice practice.

well thats all for now....

Well had the Shubert Trio Performance today. well i did not perfom well at all. I guess today was not a very good performance day too. performed badly for PS and also miss vogue's accompaniment class.....SORRY!!!!!.

oh well, i guess this is part and parcel of a musicians life. i no it is just an excuse but everyone has bad days...mine was today.

Christmas Gig is this saturday and i am not too sure it would be good. well the rest are really positeve about it. hmmm i guess i'll just follow the crowd then.

Well Christmas comes once a year and normally people of differnt races, religion, gender, age get prepared for this wonderful time of the year. I used to enjoy the feeling of Christmas, but not any more. i'm not sure why really. well its too early to say. hahhahaa

anyway thats all for now.

hey,

well it has been a long time sice i blogged. the main reason is i have been really busy in school. there is just so much to do and so little time. This December is not a good one. Everyone is preparing for christmas whilist I am here doing school work, arranging, practicing attending rehersals, teaching....sigh. All I want for Christmas is Christmas.

I have too many things to do and for the first time in my life i felt that 24 hours a day is just not enough. I try my best to make ends meet. but i'm just killing myself. I wake up every morning at 5am, go to school at 645am. start work at 7am then 9am school lessons start. after 6pm i stay in school for rehersals till 11pm. i reach home at 12midnight. I sleep at 1am. and the whole cycle repeats again. how much of this can i take???!?!?!?!! i need sleep i need to rest!!!! I need a break. I can only rest after the 22nd of Dec. sigh. I have reached the point of breaking.

On top of all this i have to deal with people's problem with me. As if my hectic life is not enough, you had to come into the picture.

Everything was fine. Everything was good. until....you had to open your mouth and say things. If you had, at all, paid attention to my character feelings, you would not have the mistaske you did. You were someting to me you know. You were special. but i'm glad that now you are no more then a normal person around me. sorry. sorry for even thinking that there was a special friend in you. You brounght it upon yourself and I can correct it. but i don't want to...cause it is not worth my effort. You are like a Rainbow with no pot of gold at the otherside. I am grateful i don't see you everyday. I would have exploded. You need help in the way you 'THINK' of others. has it ever occured to you that people are DIFFERENT!!!!!! has it ever occured to you that it is the uniquness in people that make you want to be friends in the first place. Grow up. YOu are not that perfect...as you claim.

I missed you once. now i don't. i have managed to convice my weak heart to give up and forget you as a friend. It is a matter of time before you realise what you did really afffected me alot. still i don't hate you. just not close to you.
